I felt treated like a good friend who was open to my wishes as far as wanting alternatives outside of traditional medicine, more natural ways to treat conditions, such as food, essential oils, homeopathic, etc when possible. I prefer to use as few prescriptions medications as possible and don't want to be constantly pushing pills down my throat. Having previously worked in a nursing home especially I saw patients who were taking 20 or more meds and it was then I was determined not to be one of those people. I am more of a natural holistic plan of care. She was a great listener as well as a great teacher in explaining specific things to me.

Dr Swenka has improved my health immensely ever since I chose to have her as my doctor. She answers all of my questions and asks me plenty of questions about tackling any health problems. I put my full trust and my families trust that she is doing the very best to keep me healthy.

I truly appreciate the services provided by MercyOne. The staff are always very friendly and patient. I'd especially like to thank my doctor, Dr. Swenka — she is the best doctor I've ever had. She always takes the time to kindly ask about my condition and patiently answers all of my questions. Whenever I need help, she and her nurse are quick to reach out and clearly explain the next steps. I'm very grateful for their care and support!

Need to leave at least 1/3 appointments open for acute same day appts. It is frustrating that she is so booked up you have to see a provider that does not know you. I followed Erin from Johnston to Grimes for a reason. I don't want to see your new providers, I want to see my provider who knows my history.

This was the first time I had to wait an unusually long time before I could see Dr. Swenka…over 45 minutes. However, she apologized for the delay, and as always, discussed my concerns with me, made changes to my medications, and ordered a blood test, which I received a call about the next day.

I'm a long time patient. It's often difficult to get an appointment when I'm ill. Everyone at Dr Swenka's office is so nice. I don't want to go to urgent care. I want to see my provider within a reasonable time when I'm sick.

Staff works very well when I have to change an appointment. Rooms are kept very clean. Restrooms are kept clean. Lobby is always clean.
