Anticoagulation Clinic

Iowa Heart Center's anticoagulation clinic assists patients in the management of blood-thinning medications. These medications are used to prevent harmful blood clots from forming, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
Patients taking blood-thinning medications such as Coumadin require frequent blood tests (to check how quickly your blood clots), careful monitoring and periodic dosage adjustments.
Iowa Heart offers PT testing in Des Moines, Ames, Carroll and Fort Dodge.
For more information, or to schedule an appointment with the anticoagulation clinic, contact the office of your choice, or call (515) 235-5000.
