Dr. Syed Ahmed, a native of Pakistan, joined Iowa Heart Center’s Carroll practice in 2001 and currently practices at in our new Marshalltown clinic located at 312 E. Main, Suite 2100.

Dr. Ahmed received a medical degree from Sindh Medical College in Pakistan. His postgraduate medical education was completed at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, where he received training in clinical and interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology.

He has also served as a clinical observer at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Dr. Ahmed is board certified in general and nuclear cardiology, as well as echocardiography. He practices primarily at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, and recently completed interventional cardiology training at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
