Iowa Heart Center to Offer Discounted Screenings for National Vascular Disease Awareness Month
September 1, 2016
West Des Moines, Iowa— Iowa Heart Center, a partner of Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines, will offer discounted vascular screenings at all of their Iowa office locations during the month of September in honor of National Vascular Disease Awareness Month. Patients can schedule a comprehensive screening, which includes three vascular disease tests, for $75, down from $99.
The three screenings check the blood flow in your neck, abdomen and legs to detect any signs of blockages or vascular diseases. Iowa Heart Center physician, Dr. David Chew states, “Vascular screenings are essential because diseases need to be treated early. If you diagnose the disease early and implement aggressive risk factor control and lifestyle changes, you can actually reverse some of the disease processes.”
People who should be screened include patients who are 60 years of age or older and have any of the following risk factors: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, current or past history of smoking, diabetes, previous heart attack or stroke, or those who have a family history of heart attack, stroke, aneurysm or vascular disease.
These painless, non-invasive and inexpensive screenings could save your life! Call the Iowa Heart Center office at (877) 914-3600 to schedule an appointment at the location most convenient for you. For more information, visit www.iowaheart.com.
