    • September is Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month and Iowa Heart Center is working to increase public knowledge of AFib, including its symptoms, warning signs, and available treatment options. Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is an irregular heartbeat. In AFib, the two upper chambers of the heart (atria) are out of sync and do not beat in coordination with the lower chambers, causing a very rapid and disorganized heartbeat. It is the most common heart rhythm disorder affecting about 2.7 million Americans. Join us on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. to learn more about this common heart rhythm disorder and ask providers any questions you may have.
